Miniatures etc

	Colony building A 1:50 scale miniature building, measuring 33 x 32.5 x 8.3cm. This model was used in the scene where the marines fly over Hadley's Hope for the first time. Constructed from cast resin walls with a plasticard roof, dressed with stock plastic rod and blocks. Kitbashers among you may notice parts from a Star Wars snowspeeder, Imperial shuttle, Millennium Falcon and Eagle transporter.

	Colony street-lights Vacuformed light-shades housing pea bulbs, still attached to lengths of wire. These lights can be made out as Apone scans the street through binoculars.

	Egg 85mm tall, made from plaster. It is believed that eggs such as this were made for the miniature queen nest.

	Vidfone screen There are two videophone terminals in the Sulaco hangar bay. This ¼ scale miniature was used during scenes filmed with the model queen and powerloader. The miniature is of plastic with a shaped wooden screen. Note: in some publicity photographs the booth clearly shows a 'VIDFONE' sign - but this was blacked out prior to filming.

	Vidfone console This piece fits beneath the screen (see above). Again made from painted plastic.

	Miniature Sulaco floor tile These 1:12 scale tiles, measuring 35 x 35mm were used on the miniature dropship bay set.

	Narcissus The two foot Narcissus miniature from Aliens. Photographed while on display at Alien War London. This item is not part of the Harry Harris collection.

	APC The 1:6 scale remote-controlled APC built by Nigel Brackley. The original APC model was constructed from ABS plastic but proved to be too heavy; a second body was made from Kevlar. This item is not part of the Harry Harris collection.

	APC spotlight grille Measuring 36mm across and made from brazed brass rod. The grille protects the front of the spotlight on the roof of the APC.

	Dropship study model Foamcore and card model built by James Cameron. This item is not part of the Harry Harris collection.

	Dropship weapons pod Starboard forward missile pod from one of the 1:12 scale dropship models. Made from fibreglass and foamcore, this pod measures 21 x 15.5 x 14.5cm.
